Easy Guide On Commenting On Blogs To Build Traffic And Good Relationships.
Commenting on other popular blogs is an easy way to to bring more traffic to your site and build mutually beneficial relationships with other website owners in your niche. If you leave useful comments that contribute something of value to the topic or the conversation going on in the blog, it could potentially be viewed by hundreds of people a day. If your comment is interesting enough people will click through to your website. Blog comments can be a way to network with the owner of the blog, so forming good relationships with other people in your niche will benefit you in the long term.
Leaving a comment with your link as an anchor text is also valuable in your search engine rankings, as long as the blog uses the “dofollow” tag. If the blog uses a “nofollow” tag, the search engines will not recognize it as a backlink to your site, so it more than likely won’t count towards your ranking. Even so you may still receive traffic from that blog.
You can use the nofollow add-on from Scott Millar, to find out if a website is “dofollow” or “nofollow”. Note: Recently the nodofollow add-on from Firefox stopped working because it wasn’t updated to work with the latest version of Firefox. This version from Scott Millar works well, and there are some download instruction you’ll need to know: Click on the download link and choose Open with. Then browse to open it with Firefox. You have to open it this way because it’s an .xpi file.
Once installed the Nodofollow add-on can be activated by clicking on tools at the top of your browser, then checking Nodofollow. Now when you go to a blog, have a look at the links in the comments section – highlighted Pink means Dofollow (good juicy backlink). Highlighted Blue means Nofollow.
Little Known Search Terms To Find Blogs In Your Niche
Copy and paste the red search terms into your Google search bar
“title=”CommentLuv Enabled”” KEYWORDS
(Be sure to replace “KEYWORDS” with your target keyword)
Here’s how CommentLuv works – fill in your name, email and your website. Then enter your comment. As you’re typing your comment your should see your latest post title appear as an anchor text link below the comment box. If you’ve got your keywords in your post title (which you should), you’ll receive a nice juicy back link!
“title=”KeywordLuv Enabled”” KEYWORDS
Basically the same deal with keywordluv, only you enter your-name@Yourkeywords in the name section. So it would look like this – Joel@internet marketing.
This gives you an anchor text link back to your website. Usually if you drop your keyword into the name section it screams SPAM! But with KuywordLuv enabled blogs it is allowed and encouraged.
“leave a reply” -”must be logged in” KEYWORD
“leave a comment” -”must be logged in” KEYWORD
These search terms will find you blogs that you can comment on. Some comment forms will allow you to use html in the comment box. So you can leave an anchor text link, pointing back to your site. If you don’t know how to drop an
anchor, let me show you me maties – copy and paste:
<a href=”http://www.yoursite.com”>Your Keyword</a>
What will show up in the comment box is Your keyword. So if your keyword is “toilet training your dog” for example, you’d enter your comment like this.
Free tips on how to <a href=”http://www.yoursite.com”>toilet train your dog</a> and stop it soiling your $800 rugs.
Then after submitting your comment it will look like this -
Free tips on how to toilet train your dog and stop it soiling your $800 rugs.
If you have a Squidoo lens you can type this search term into Google -
KEYWORD + site:squidoo.com + “0 points”
This search term will find you Squidoo lenses that you can leave your link on. You’ll need to log into Squidoo, find the section that says Links or new links plexo and click on Add to this list. Drop your Website URL in there and include your keywords in the description, varying them from lens to lens.
Remember that whatever field or business you’re in, it will benefit you to have good relationships with the people who are already having a lot of success in that field, because they can help you achieve your goals. So think long term when commenting blogs and you’ll see great long term results.

Great stuff Joel, thanks. Now all I have to do is get my head around it! It’s all so new to me however I am a fast learner, lol
I’ve just started blogging (having converted my existing static site to Wordpress), and I’ve been following your advice very closely. As a professional copywriter of over 10 years’ experience, I admire your model of providing high quality content as the basis of everything you do, and will try to emulate this approach on my blog.
Hey Joe, thanks for your comments, it’s my pleasure to help my fellow man in whatever way I can. Being a professional copywriter, you’re probably ripping the crap out of my writing, It’s one of those skills that I’m not gifted with but I’m determined to keep improving.
Do you know of any forums about this stuff?
Keep posting stuff like this i really like it
